The Christian faith is for everyone – however young or old they may be! So church needs to be for everyone, too.
Our aim is to make Sunday morning a really good experience for both children and their families.
On the first Sunday of each month at St Mary’s we hold a ‘Worship for All’ when children and adults are together for the whole service. The service starts at 10:45 am and lasts about 45 minutes. It includes songs that are appropriate for children, a lively talk and activities to participate in. There are refreshments following the service.
Trailblazers is for children up to the age of 12 and is run by people from the Methodist Church, St Mary’s & St Paul’s. We have lots of fun, games and activities whilst exploring more about God and Jesus.
We meet at the Methodist Church, Sedgwick Rd, from 10.30 am every Sunday apart from the first in the month (when we have an all-age service at St Mary's).
Parents are welcome to stay with their children or attend the service in church whilst Trailblazers is happening.
Children under the age of 3 are welcome in the youngest age group together with their parents, where there is a mixture of play and appropriate Christian input.
The session lasts about an hour, but if parents are attending St Mary’s, their children will be brought up to the church for the end of the service there.
Children are more than welcome to just turn up, but please contact us if you have any questions or would like to know more.
Little Angels Is a group for babies and children under school age with their parents or carers.
It offers a chance to chat and to play, including a craft activity. We meet at St Paul’s, Fair Oak Road on alternate Tuesdays during term time at 1.45 – 3 pm

From time to time we run a one-off club for children from 3 – 12 years old.
These have taken place at Easter and during the summer holidays. Each time we all have fun action packed time including: games, craft, singing and food, whilst discovering something about the Christian faith.
